Insane prisoner ordered to take drugs so he can be legally executed

A United States federal appeals court has ruled that a mentally ill death row inmate can be forcibly treated with anti-psychotic drugs to make him sane enough to be legally executed.
In a 6-5 vote, the Eighth Circuit court in St Louis found that "involuntary medication followed by execution" was "a better choice" than withholding drugs, followed by psychosis and imprisonment.
The ruling is likely to be appealed to the Supreme Court, which in 1986 barred the execution of insane prisoners.
Charles Singleton was convicted of killing an Arkansas grocery store worker in 1979. He has been on death row ever since.
His mental health began to worsen and in 1987 he came to believe his cell was inhabited by demons and that a prison doctor had implanted a device in his ear. Singleton has since been given anti-psychosis drugs, sometimes voluntarily, sometimes by force.
The Death Penalty Information Centre contends that 44 mentally retarded people were executed between 1976 and last year.

Bunny, the Whistleblower's, Sweet Revenge (Video)
Whistleblower Bunnatine Greenhouse, who was demoted from her job as the top civilian procurement officer for the Army Corps of Engineers for complaining about a no-bid government contract awarded to Halliburton, was justifiably feeling good in this interview with NOW's David Broncaccio.
Her jubilation was the result of the decision this week not to renew the Halliburton contract which was has been mired with accusations of fraud and mismanagement from the start.
Here are 10 things we know for sure:
1. DICK Cheney was CEO of Halliburton until he joined the Bush ticket in 2000
2. Before taking office, Cheney had outgoing Defense Secretary William Cohen brief Bush on our different Iraq options.
3. Bunny demoted for contesting huge no-bid contract
4. Despite denials of any involvement by DICK, an email from the Army Corps of Engineers (obtained through FOIA) stated, "We anticipate no issue [with the Halliburton deal] since the action has been coordinated w VP's office"
5. The biggest advocate for the war in Iraq was VP DICK who Bob Woodward described as a "powerful, steamrolling force" for war.
6. Halliburton's Iraq revenues have skyrocketed from nothing to about $17 billion since beginning of war.

According to SEATTLE TIMES medical reporter Warren King in "State to check on residents' health" (July 20, 2006), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has heavily financed surveys (NOT using volunteers) in Washington State, Kansas and Arkansas that ask detailed personal health questions about diet, medication, other risks for disease, and a blood sample will be taken (from which DNA can be obtained?). Specifically regarding mental health, Kathryn Power, the directior of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (which administers the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health recommendations), in a 2003 speech revealed that mental health assessments are increasingly conducted in "non-mental health" places such as child care settings.
The organization EdWatch has reported that "all children" in Illinois "are to receive social and emotional screens and the schools are to incorporate social and emotional standards as part of the state's learning standards." Working with EdWatch, Dr. Karen Effrem has charged that "some mental and violence-prevention programs are already labeling children as mentally ill or potentially violent based on political and religious criteria."

"Universal Service" to "Put Us On a War Footing"

William Cohen, a Republican and former Secretary of Defense under Clinton,
appeared on this morning's FOX & Friends First.
WILLIAM COHEN: "... What we need in this war against terror - which I would prefer to call it (sic) 'a long twilight struggle' to use John Kennedy's phrase - a long twilight struggle against terrorism - you need better intelligence, better police work, covert activity, special forces, if necessary, ultimately military. But it's going to be through police work and the sharing of intelligence, that we'll be able to help defend us against attacks which are inevitably going to come."
BRIAN KILMEADE: "Hey, Mr. Secretary, finally, do you think in the next ten years we're going to be looking at some type of draft because we seem to need - have so many conflicts to cover?"
WILLIAM COHEN: "I'm not sure there'll be a draft. I think there should be a commitment to universal service. I think that only a few people are really committed to this war against terrorism and called. I think the American people have to be - understand - that we're all in this together. We ought to have a real call to national service to commit ourselves to some form of public service ...."
COHEN: "... helping out at homes, health care, nurses, etc. But something has to be done ..."
KILMEADE: "Something's got to be done."
COHEN: "... to put us on a war footing mentality. We're not there."

Is the U.S. Bankrupt?

Do Federal Reserve managers secretly believe that the U.S is bankrupt and is about to go under?
Well, where there's smoke, there's fire!
A stunning 23 page report by Professor Laurence J. Kotlikoff titled "Is the U.S. Bankrupt?" was issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in November, 2005, and quietly posted on their public website. Although publicly accessible, it was totally ignored by the U.S. press.
Kotlikoff is professor of Economics at Boston University and has penned at least 355 papers published by the Federal Reserve over several years.
Kotlikoff concludes that "Countries can and do go bankrupt. The U.S., with its $65.9 trillion fiscal gap, seems clearly headed down that path."
The fiscal gap of $65.9 trillion is more than 5 times U.S. Gross Domestic Product and twice as large as national wealth. The fiscal gap is all the money that the U.S. owes now and in the future, for which it doesn't have revenue to pay for. According to Kotlikoff,
One way to wrap one’s head around $65.9 trillion is to ask what fiscal adjustments are needed to eliminate this red hole. The answers are terrifying. One solution is an immediate and permanent doubling of personal and corporate income taxes. Another is an immediate and permanent two-thirds cut in Social Security and Medicare benefits. A third alternative, were it feasible, would be to immediately and permanently cut all federal discretionary spending by 143 percent. (p. 8)
Imagine Ben Bernanke, chairman of the U.S. Fed., getting up in front of Congress and stating "The U.S. is clearly headed toward bankruptcy!"
The stock market would crash, the dollar would melt down, the bond market would implode and real estate would be frozen in time.
This writer hates to be a pessimist, but this does not make for an optimistic near-term or long-term forecast. Monetarily speaking, it's time to "run for the hills."
The demise of the dollar may be at hand.

Introduction
The global elite, through the direct operations of President George Bush and his Administration, are creating a North American Union that will combine Canada, Mexico and the U.S. into a superstate called the North American Union (NAU). The NAU is roughly patterned after the European Union (EU). There is no political or economic mandate for creating the NAU, and unofficial polls of a cross-section of Americans indicate that they are overwhelmingly against this end-run around national sovereignty.
To answer Lou Dobbs, "No, the political elites have not gone mad", they just want you to think that they have.
The reality over appearance is easily cleared up with a proper historical perspective of the last 35 years of political and economic manipulation by the same elite who now bring us the NAU.
This paper will explore this history in order to give the reader a complete picture of the NAU, how it is made possible, who are the instigators of it, and where it is headed.
It is important to first understand that the impending birth of the NAU is a gestation of the Executive Branch of the U.S. government, not the Congress.
