A new report issued by the inspector general’s office of
Florida’s Department of Health indicates that previous
complaints against Michael Schiavo concerning alleged abuse
and neglect of his brain damaged wife, Terri Schindler Schiavo,
may have been swept under the rug resulting in a massive cover-
up of alleged improprieties and possible criminal wrongdoing in
the case.

After a report is called into the Florida Abuse Hotline, it is
then referred to the Protective Investigations Unit closest to
the location of the alleged victim. That unit then dispatches a
n investigator within 24 hours of receipt of report.
